Hamazkayin Membership
We strive to serve the educational
and cultural needs of our community to the best of our capabilities.
Therefore, we need to stay in touch and evolve with you, as we draw our
guidance and energy from you. The best way for us to serve you is to have
you directly involved with your organization.
As you know, not all can contribute equally to the educational and cultural
needs of the community, so, we are offering a multi-tiered membership
program, where individuals can choose the level of involvement commensurate
with their other commitments.
Please consider joining us to help us help each
other by becoming a full member, Supporting
member/volunteer or a contributing member.
Member: As a member you are expected to attend our regular biweekly meetings (first and
third Monday of every month at 8:30 PM at ACEC, 47 Nichols Ave, Watertown,
MA) and to help plan, coordinate and execute our programs. Your presence
at the meetings is strongly urged as we rely on our members to make key
decisions and see through the successful execution of our programs. In
addition, a $25 annual membership due is collected from each member upon
approval of the application. You are eligible to be
nominated and vote for the next year's executive body in our annual
elections. All members are expected to follow the guidelines set by the
national and chapter by laws.
Affiliate:
As an affiliate you will be kept abreast of
Hamazkayin-Boston activities through email and can help the Society by
spreading the word of our activities to your friends and relatives and by
helping with ticket sales. You can help with
events during the last few days of preparation and/or the day of the
event. You are not required to pay
membership dues, however any financial contribution would be greatly
appreciated. You are not eligible to vote for the next year's executive
body in our annual elections. All members are expected to follow the
guidelines set by the national and chapter by laws.
Patron:
As a
patron you are not a member and are not obligated to attend our regular biweekly
meetings or help with any events. You can show your support for our programs
and our community by contributing financially to Hamazkayin-Boston. To
do so, you can write a check to Hamazkayin-Boston or you can contribute
online by clicking here. your contribution is tax deductible, as
Hamazkayin-Boston is a non-profit organization (you will receive the
appropriate paperwork in January of each calendar year for the contributions
made the year before).
To become a member, please
fill an
application, have it signed
by two sponsors (Current Hamazkayin members) and submit to the chapter
executives. Your application will be reviewed and upon acceptance, you will
be notified. Your information will
be kept in Hamazkayin-Boston database and will not be shared with any other
